James is an executive with over 20 years of experience in business development, community relations, and public affairs. James started his career as a government regulator and moved to the private sector, where he became a leader in two publicly traded HMOs. He left to learn the healthcare provider side of the industry and served as a registered lobbyist for a national health system that operates two hospitals in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
James took a leap of faith with a small group of executives and co-founded a Medicaid and Medicare MCO literally from the kitchen table. In 4 years, the company grew to 55,000 members and over $400 million in annual revenue before being acquired by a major health system.
A natural diplomat and people whisperer, James excels at connecting the dots between people, ideas, problems, and solutions. He helps move projects forward by getting various parties to find common ground and working towards achieving mutual goals.
